MyFans vs OnlyFans: Which One Should Japanese Content Fans Use?

If you've looked for Japanese creators on OnlyFans and wondered whether MyFans is the better place, this page puts the two side by side on the points that can be checked. The MyFans column comes from MyFans' own help pages; the OnlyFans column comes from OnlyFans' Terms of Service (last updated August 2024). Both were checked on 11 October 2026. Where neither document says, this page says so.

Fees and payouts — closer than the headlines suggest

MyFans' platform fee depends on the creator's contract tier: 16.5%, 20%, or 25% of sales (tax included, rates from 1 October 2026). OnlyFans takes a flat 20%. So MyFans is cheaper for some creators and more expensive for others.
MyFans offers an express payout that can arrive as early as the next business day, for 10% of the amount requested plus a ¥330 transfer fee. OnlyFans' terms say earnings can be withdrawn once they show in the creator's account and the balance meets a minimum payout amount; the terms don't put a number of days on it.
For fans, the creator-side fee doesn't change what you pay. What you will see on MyFans is a separate purchase fee added at checkout; MyFans' help pages don't give its amount. OnlyFans' terms say prices are in US dollars, that sales tax is added where it applies, and that your payment provider may charge a currency conversion fee.

Where the Japanese creators are

MyFans is built around Japanese independents. Its creator verification is designed for Japanese documents — a driver's licence, My Number card, residence card, or Basic Resident Register card. And its own genre list shows where the weight is: "Amateur" is the largest genre on the site, with 454,903 shown against it on 10 October 2026, and "Privately shot" is second. The genre overview has the rest.
OnlyFans asks for "a valid form of ID" and two photos. Its terms don't name a country's documents, and add that more may be requested depending on where the creator lives or their nationality.
What this page can't tell you is how many Japanese creators are on OnlyFans. This site has no count from OnlyFans to set beside MyFans' numbers; its Terms of Service give none. The practical test is to look: MyFans' genre list and rankings can be browsed before you pay for anything.

Is MyFans actually usable if you don't read Japanese?

MyFans says people outside Japan can register, and that the display language can be changed from a language setting, with more languages to be added. Its help pages don't list which languages. It also warns against using your browser's page translation, which can break parts of the display.

The difference a fan feels: cancelling

On OnlyFans, cancelling lets the period run out. Its terms say you can view the creator's content until the end of the subscription period in which you cancelled.
On MyFans, cancelling closes the plan that day. MyFans' help page says the plan's posts stop being viewable on the day you cancel, with no refund for the days left. A bundle bought after 14 November 2025 is the exception and runs to the end of its term.
So the OnlyFans habit of cancelling right after you subscribe, to stop the renewal, costs you the month on MyFans. Cancel the day before renewal instead. The cancellation guide has the dates.

What's the same on both platforms

PayPal isn't among the payment methods MyFans lists. OnlyFans' Terms of Service don't name its payment methods at all, so this page makes no claim about PayPal there.
Both are for adults only: each sets 18 as the minimum age.
Both sell subscriptions, individually priced posts, and tips. Both renew a subscription automatically until you cancel.

FAQ

Can I use both platforms at the same time? — Yes. Nothing about either account depends on the other, so there's no reason to cancel one to try the other.
Is MyFans cheaper for fans than OnlyFans? — Not inherently, and this is a common misreading of the fee numbers. The platform fee — 16.5% to 25% on MyFans, 20% on OnlyFans — is the platform's cut of what creators earn. It affects the creator's take-home, not your bill. What you pay is whatever price the individual creator sets, plus the purchase fee MyFans adds at checkout, so a MyFans subscription can cost more than an OnlyFans one, or less. MyFans charges in yen and OnlyFans in US dollars, so the exchange rate moves the comparison too. Compare creators, not platforms.
Do MyFans creators also post on OnlyFans? — This site has no figures for that. Don't assume you can find the same creator on both; check the creator's own profile or social accounts for where they post.
Which one is safer? — Neither platform publishes anything that lets a fan compare how secure the checkout is, and both are for adults only. The difference you can check is where the operator sits — MyFans (Rise Inc.) in Japan, OnlyFans (Fenix International Limited) in England and Wales. MyFans' privacy policy is governed by Japanese law; OnlyFans' terms are governed by the laws of England, and say a consumer can also rely on the mandatory rules of the country where they live.

Bottom line — who should use which

Add MyFans if you're specifically after Japanese independent and amateur creators. That is what its largest genres are.
Stay with OnlyFans if the creators you follow are already there. Nothing on MyFans replaces them.
If you use both, remember the two differences that cost money: MyFans closes a plan the day you cancel, and it charges in yen with a purchase fee on top.
