What Kind of Content Is on MyFans? A Genre Overview
Last updated
PR: this page contains affiliate links. What this site earns from them.
Before you subscribe to anyone, it helps to know what's actually there. MyFans keeps its own lists of genres, and which list you see depends on a viewing setting. This page describes two of them as they stood on 10 October 2026 — the one a logged-in adult account sees, and the one a visitor sees without logging in — with the number MyFans displays next to each genre. The rules about genres, tags and the viewing setting come from MyFans' own help pages, checked the same day.
Genres are official, tags are free-form
MyFans has two kinds of label, and they work differently.
| Genres | Tags | |
|---|---|---|
| Who defines them | MyFans. Creators pick from a fixed list. | The creator, in their own words. |
| How many per post | At least 1, at most 3. A post can't be published without one. | Optional, up to 20. |
| Checked by MyFans | Yes. MyFans reviews the genres on each post and removes any that clearly don't match it. | The help pages don't describe a check. |
| Used for | Search and the genre rankings. | Search, and sorting one creator's posts. |
So a genre on MyFans is more than a creator's own description: someone at MyFans has looked at whether it fits.
What you see depends on your viewing setting
MyFans has a setting that decides which content is shown to you. Its help page lists three choices:
| Setting | What it shows |
|---|---|
| General adult | Content for people attracted to women |
| Gay / BL | Content for people attracted to men |
| All ages | All-ages content only. Adult posts are hidden, including ones you've bought. |
You change it after logging in: open Home, choose the icon at the top right, pick one, and apply. The genre list changes with it, which is why the two lists below look nothing alike.
The adult genre list
This is what a logged-in account showing adult content saw: 95 genres in 5 groups. The group descriptions are MyFans' own. The English names are this site's translations.
| Group | MyFans describes it as | Genres | Three largest (number shown) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Type (タイプ) | the concept of the post | 19 | Amateur (素人) 454,903 · Privately shot (個人撮影) 202,728 · Married, "hitozuma" (人妻) 138,127 |
| Appearance (見た目) | the performer's attributes | 14 | Large bust (巨乳) 147,297 · Beautiful (美女) 94,462 · Shapely bust (美乳) 77,931 |
| Situation (シチュエーション) | how it was shot | 19 | Self-filmed (ハメ撮り) 103,346 · Exhibitionism (露出) 36,931 · NTR 29,527 |
| Play (プレイ) | the acts shown | 28 | Not listed on this page. The largest shows 65,349. |
| Costume (コスチューム) | the outfit | 15 | Cosplay (コスプレ) 49,343 · Underwear (下着) 37,829 · Lingerie (ランジェリー) 20,927 |
This site doesn't spell out the names of sex acts, so the Play group is given by size only. MyFans' own screen has the full list.
Four genres people ask about
| Genre | Group | Number shown | Where it stands |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amateur (素人) | Type | 454,903 | The largest of all 95 |
| Married, "hitozuma" (人妻) | Type | 138,127 | Third in its group |
| Cosplay (コスプレ) | Costume | 49,343 | First in its group |
| ASMR | Play | 3,627 | Small: the group's largest genre shows 65,349 |
There is also a Mature (熟女) genre in the Type group, at 45,818, separate from "hitozuma".
The list without logging in
A visitor who isn't logged in sees a different, much shorter list: 25 genres in 3 groups, with no Type or Play group at all.
| Group | Genres | Three largest (number shown) |
|---|---|---|
| Appearance (見た目) | 13 | Glamorous (グラマラス) 3,259 · Cute (可愛い系) 2,768 · Beautiful (きれい系) 2,403 |
| Situation (シチュエーション) | 5 | Vlog and daily life (Vlog・日常) 1,601 · Model and portrait (モデル・ポートレート) 1,593 · Selfie (自撮り) 727 |
| Costume (コスチューム) | 7 | Cosplay (コスプレ) 896 · Swimwear (水着) 359 · Innerwear and lingerie (インナー・ランジェリー) 337 |
So if you look at MyFans before registering and see only a few thousand posts of portraits and vlogs, that isn't the whole site. It's the shelf shown to someone who hasn't logged in.
What the numbers show
- Amateur and privately shot content is the centre of the site. Amateur (454,903) and Privately shot (202,728) are the two largest genres of all, ahead of the biggest genre in any other group (147,297).
- Cosplay leads the outfits in both lists. 49,343 against 37,829 for the next outfit genre when logged in; 896 against 359 when not.
- Audio is a small corner. ASMR shows 3,627 — about one-eighteenth of the largest genre in its group.
- The logged-out list is tiny by comparison. Its largest genre shows 3,259.
What these lists don't tell you
- What the number counts. The screen doesn't say whether it's posts or creators, so read it as a rough size. A post can carry up to three genres, so the numbers aren't meant to add up.
- The gay / BL list. This site hasn't read it.
- Which setting a logged-out visitor is given. The short list looks like the all-ages one, but MyFans' help pages don't say so.
- Tomorrow's numbers. These are a snapshot from 10 October 2026.
- Price. A genre says what a post is, not what it costs. Check the creator's own page for that.
How to open the list yourself
MyFans' help page gives this route for the rankings by genre:
- Choose Ranking at the bottom of the screen.
- Choose the link to all genres at the bottom right.
- Pick a group, then a genre.
You can also search by genre or tag, combining up to three of them in one search. MyFans shows rankings for its popular genres on the ranking page itself, and the rest from the search results. The search, tags, and rankings guide covers the rest.
