How MyFans Affiliate Links Work, and What This Site Earns from Them
Last updated
Every guide on this site ends with a link marked (affiliate link). That label tells you a commission exists, but not how much it is or who pays it. This page fills in the rest, using MyFans' own published help pages. Everything below was checked against those pages on 10 October 2026.
The short version
- This site uses one affiliate link, and it points at the MyFans top page — not at any particular creator or post.
- MyFans' published default rate for a top-page link is 2% of what's left of a purchase after the platform takes its fee from the creator.
- The commission is calculated out of the sale. Nothing in MyFans' published rules adds an amount to your price for arriving through a link, and a purchase only counts if it happens within 24 hours of the click.
- Tips and Super Comments earn this site nothing.
How the commission is calculated
MyFans publishes the formula: commission = (sale price − the creator's platform fee) × the commission rate, rounded down to the whole yen.
The platform fee depends on the creator's contract tier. From 1 October 2026 the published rates are 16.5%, 20%, and 25% (tax included). The sale price here is the listed price; the purchase fee MyFans adds at checkout isn't counted. So on something listed at ¥1,000, bought after arriving through this site's link:
| Creator tier | Platform fee | Left after fee | This site's 2% |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | 16.5% (¥165) | ¥835 | ¥16 |
| Semi-premium | 20% (¥200) | ¥800 | ¥16 |
| Standard | 25% (¥250) | ¥750 | ¥15 |
You won't see which tier a creator is on, so treat this as the range rather than an exact figure.
What earns nothing
- Tips and Super Comments. MyFans states these generate no affiliate commission even when the buyer arrived through a link.
- Unlimited-viewing channels (見放題ch). Currently outside the affiliate program.
The first-purchase bonus
- Since 1 October 2026, MyFans pays affiliates a bonus on top of the normal commission when the buyer is making their first-ever purchase on the platform.
- MyFans' help page does not state the amount, and says the bonus may change. This site can't tell you what it is worth, so it won't guess.
- What it does mean: this site has more to gain from a brand-new sign-up than from someone who already has an account. Read the "should you sign up" parts of these guides with that in mind.
Other kinds of affiliate link you'll run into
The 2% above sits near the bottom of MyFans' table. Links you find elsewhere — on social media, on review sites — are often a different kind, and pay the person who posted them more. These are the published defaults:
| Link points at | What gets bought | Default rate |
|---|---|---|
| A specific post | That post, as a single purchase | 10% |
| A specific post | A plan that includes that post | 15% |
| A specific post | A different post or plan from the same creator | 1% |
| A creator's page | That creator's posts or plans | 5% |
| A gacha | That gacha | 10% |
| A post or a creator's page | Something from a different creator | 2% |
| The top page (this site) | Any single post, plan, or bundle | 2% |
- Creators can override the defaults. A creator can set their own rate from 10% to 100% in 10-point steps (plans can also be set to 15%), separately for new plan sign-ups, plan renewals, single posts, and gacha. They can also give one specific affiliate a rate of their own.
- At 100%, the creator keeps nothing from that sale. MyFans' help page confirms the whole amount after the platform fee goes to the affiliate. A creator who sets this is paying for the introduction, not earning from it.
- So when someone pushes a single creator hard, the rate behind that link may be far above 2%. You can't see the rate from the outside. It's a reason to weigh the recommendation, not proof of anything.
Why this page exists now
- On 7 October 2026, Fantia — another Japanese fan platform — announced it is ending its affiliate program. New affiliate links stop being issued on 5 November 2026, and the program stops on 30 November 2026. After that, old links still open the page but pay no commission.
- The reason Fantia gave was affiliate promotion across the internet that misstates facts or misleads people. It added that it had not confirmed that kind of trouble on its own service.
- Fantia says a replacement advertising service is in development. It has not given a date.
- MyFans has announced nothing similar. But a site that earns from links should be able to say what it earns, so this is that page.
What this site does about it
- The link goes to the top page, so no guide here is paid more for steering you toward one creator over another.
- The guides say when MyFans isn't the right choice — the MyFans vs OnlyFans comparison has a "stick with OnlyFans if" section for that reason.
- If the rates on this page change, the sources below are where to check. They are in Japanese; a browser translator handles them fine.
