MyFans Content Types Explained: Subscriptions, PPV, and Tips

MyFans has more than one way to charge you, and mixing them up means paying for something other than what you wanted. This page covers subscriptions, PPV, tips and Super Comments, then the less obvious ones. Everything below was checked against MyFans' own help pages on 10 October 2026.

The price column is the range MyFans lets a creator choose from, not a typical price. Each creator sets their own.
Subscription
A subscription — MyFans calls it a plan — is a monthly charge that unlocks the posts a creator has attached to that plan. It doesn't unlock everything the creator has posted.
- When you're charged. Once when you join, then again each time the plan renews. Renewal happens on the same day of the following month.
- Cancelling cuts access the same day. MyFans' help page says posts tied to a plan stop being viewable on the day you cancel, not at the end of the month you paid for. The exception is a bundle — several months bought at once — which stays viewable until its term ends.
- No partial refunds. Cancelling mid-month doesn't return the unused days. MyFans also asks you to cancel by the day before the renewal date, and doesn't refund problems caused by cancelling on the day itself.
- There's no plan switching. If a creator has a cheaper and a pricier plan and you join the second without cancelling the first, you're charged for both.
The practical consequence: cancel on the day before renewal, not the day you decide you're done. The cancellation guide has the steps.
PPV (Pay-Per-View)
MyFans' own name for PPV is "single purchase". It's a one-time charge for one post.
- Subscribing doesn't cover it. You can be on a creator's plan and still find posts that need a separate payment.
- Some posts are sold both ways. A creator can attach a post to a plan and also sell it on its own. Then either route opens it — and MyFans notes that a subscriber can still buy the same post separately, so check you don't already have access before paying twice.
- It outlasts the creator deleting the post. If the creator removes a post you bought, MyFans says you can still open it from your purchased posts. A plan doesn't work that way: a deleted plan post is gone.
- It doesn't outlast everything. If MyFans itself removes the post for breaking the law or its rules, or the creator closes their account, a purchased post stops being viewable.
Tips and Super Comments
A tip is money sent to a creator with nothing attached. A Super Comment is a comment on a post with money attached — MyFans won't send one without comment text. Neither unlocks any content, and anything a creator does in return is up to them.
One detail matters if you're overseas. MyFans' payment table shows BitCash working for plans and single purchases but not for tips or Super Comments. If a prepaid BitCash code is the only way you can pay — the usual workaround for declined overseas cards — you can subscribe and buy posts, but you can't tip.
Other charges you'll run into
- Gacha. You pay to draw one random post from a set the creator has chosen. MyFans treats what you draw as a single purchase, so it's yours in the same way. Buying a gacha also follows that creator automatically.
- The unlimited-viewing channel. A separate ¥3,980-a-month subscription paid to MyFans rather than to one creator, covering eligible posts from many creators. It can't be cancelled in the first seven days, and access stops when you cancel.
- MyFans Premium. ¥1,980 a month to MyFans for playback features such as higher video quality. It's independent of creator plans: cancelling one doesn't cancel the other.
- The purchase fee. MyFans adds a purchase fee at checkout on top of the listed price. Its help pages say the fee exists but don't state the amount, so read the total on the payment screen.
Quick answers
- Does a subscription include PPV posts? — No. PPV is charged separately unless the creator has also put that post in your plan.
- Do I keep access if I cancel a subscription? — Not to the plan's posts; they close the day you cancel. Posts you bought individually aren't part of the plan.
- Is joining free? — Registering is free. MyFans asks for payment details even to join a free plan, but says no charge is made for it.
