MyFans Content Types Explained: Subscriptions, PPV, and Tips

Intro

Three separate payment types exist on MyFans, and mixing them up is the most common reason new fans overpay or underpay for what they wanted.

PPV: one-time, unlocks one specific post, separate from your subscription, yours to keep afterwards, priced by the creator. These aren't alternatives — most active spending combines at least two.

Subscription

A monthly recurring charge (¥500–¥3,000 typically) that unlocks a creator's regular feed. It doesn't automatically unlock everything — some content sits behind a separate PPV charge on top. Cancelling stops future renewals but usually doesn't cut access until the current period ends.

PPV (Pay-Per-View)

A one-time charge for a single post, separate from your subscription. You can be subscribed to a creator and still see locked PPV posts requiring an extra payment. Creators use this for premium content they don't want bundled into the base price.

Tips

Optional payments sent directly to a creator, not tied to unlocking anything. Fans use tips to request something specific or just show support — there's no fixed rule, and no automatic content unlock attached. A typical spending pattern combines all three: subscribe for base access, buy PPV posts that catch your interest, tip on top if you want to.
