MyFans Premium Explained: What ¥1,980 a Month Gets You

PR: this page contains affiliate links. What this site earns from them.
MyFans Premium is an optional monthly membership paid to MyFans itself, not to a creator. It changes how videos play. It does not unlock anyone's content. The details below come from MyFans' own help pages, checked on 10 October 2026.
The short version
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Price | ¥1,980 a month, plus MyFans' purchase fee |
| Annual option | About 17% off — the equivalent of ¥1,650 a month |
| Who gets the money | MyFans, not a creator |
| Does it include creators' posts? | No |
| Do you need it to subscribe to a creator? | No |
| Refund if you cancel early? | No |
What Premium adds
MyFans lists four features:
- Higher-quality playback. MyFans describes its own format, tuned for phones, going up to 4K. Only Premium members see the button that switches quality.
- Seek-bar previews. A preview image as you drag along the timeline.
- Scene jump. Skipping between scenes in a video.
- Playlists.
Two limits come from MyFans' own notes. Not every post supports the playback features, and posts uploaded before the features existed aren't covered. So how much Premium changes for you depends on which creators you watch and how old their posts are.
What Premium doesn't do
- It doesn't unlock content. A creator's plan posts and PPV posts still cost what they cost. The content types guide covers those.
- It isn't the unlimited-viewing channel. That's a different MyFans subscription, at ¥3,980 a month, which does cover eligible posts from many creators. The two are easy to confuse because both are paid to MyFans.
- It isn't linked to your creator plans. Cancelling Premium leaves your creator subscriptions running, and cancelling a creator's plan leaves Premium running. MyFans says so explicitly, because people assume otherwise.
How to join
- Open Account.
- Under the purchases and saved tab, choose MyFans Premium.
- Choose to start Premium.
- Read the notes, tick the box, and confirm.
MyFans states that once the contract is made it can't be returned, cancelled, or changed. The completion screen shows your next renewal date — note it.
MyFans' payment table shows Premium payable by card (Visa, Mastercard, JCB) and by BitCash. That matters overseas: if a prepaid BitCash code is the only way you can pay, Premium is still available to you. The BitCash guide explains that route.
How to cancel, and what happens to your money
- Open Account.
- Under the purchases and saved tab, open your current plans.
- Scroll to the bottom, where Premium is listed separately from creator plans.
- Choose cancel, tick the reason and the confirmations, and confirm.
- Features stop at once. MyFans says all Premium features end at the moment you cancel, not at the end of the month you paid for.
- No refund for the unused days. MyFans doesn't pro-rate.
- So cancel late, not early. The cancel screen shows the next renewal date. Cancelling the day before it costs you nothing; cancelling two weeks early throws away two weeks.
Switching from monthly to annual is done from the same Premium screen, under the option to pay less. The features are identical on both.
Is it worth it?
- It may be if you watch a lot of video on MyFans, mostly recent posts, and playback quality bothers you.
- It probably isn't if you follow one or two creators, mainly look at photos, or are still finding out whether you like the platform. It's a separate ¥1,980 a month on top of every creator plan you pay for.
A reasonable order: subscribe to a creator first, see how the videos play without Premium, and add it only if that bothers you.
For transparency: MyFans' list of purchases that earn affiliate commission doesn't include Premium. As far as this site can tell, it earns nothing whether you join Premium or not.
